Abstract

A 24-year-old woman with abdominal pain 2 months after resection of ovarian mucinous cystadenocarcinoma underwent bone scintigraphy. A patchy area of MDP accumulation along the left-side of the abdominal cavity was incidentally noted. Serial Tc-99m DTPA renal scan studies showed enlargement of left kidney with persistent accumulation of radiotracer in the para-renal space, suggesting left hydronephrosis associated with left renoperitoneal fistula. Urinary extravasation was confirmed by intravenous pyelogram, contrast enhanced CT scan, and left nephrostomy with adequate urine drainage.
