Abstract

In this paper, an integrated driving safety system, which combines map navigation, lane detection, vehicle detection and speed camera warning, is presented. Lane detection and vehicle detection are work together for providing accurate recognition result. The system is porting on PAPAGO P3 driving recorder to verify the recognition rate and performance through field testing. With the knowledge of road model and vehicle appearance, either Lane Departure Warning System and Front Collision Warning System provides advanced assistance to drivers. Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust and the performance is capable for practical applications.
