摘要
Nickel-based superalloys are considered as superior material due to their higher mechanical strength. However, it has poor tribological properties during continuous sliding condition. In this study, two various alloy powders, namely, NiCrFeMoNb and FeCrMoVC were deposited on nickel-based superalloy. Further, the produced layers were examined to expose their hardness, phase formation and microstructure. The wear resistance of the both layers was examined through ball on disk wear tester. Besides, worn surfaces of deposition and roughness were analyzed. The obtained results indicate that both laser depositions have shown a homogeneous structure with improved hardness. The wear resistance of FeCrMoVC cladding has improved while compared with NiCrFeMoNb cladding and base material which indicates that FeCrMoVC coating plays a significant role in tribological properties. Abrasion, adhesion and tribo-oxidation were identified as a major wear mechanism.
