摘要
In this paper, a hybrid finite element method (FEM) and boundary element method (BEM) formulation is presented for solution of electromagnetic (EM) scattering from 3-dimensional cavity of arbitrary shape and filled with arbitrary inhomogeneous, anisotropy, and lossy materials. This formulation is useful to study scattering characteristics of anistropic materials for possible design of better radar absorbing materials and structures, which are not shared by isotropic materials, in radar cross section reduction (RCSR) and other applications. Numerical examples are given to validate the formulation and to compare the scattering effects.
