摘要
Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarized light microscopy (PLM) and small angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) techniques have been employed to study the melting behavior and morphology of thermally fractionated linear low density polyethylenes (LLDPE). The molecular segmental segregation process, which results in the unique melting behavior and morphology, has been detected. The results indicate that the short chain branches affect greatly the crystallizability and the perfection of LLDPE crystals.
