摘要
Nb-Cr alloy coatings were deposited onto 316L stainless steel using a dual-crucible electron beam evaporation source, together with simultaneous bombardment by 250 eV argon ions. Through control of alloy composition and the atomic ratio [Ar+]/[Nb+Cr], a dense and column-free coating was obtained. This coating contained 50 at.% Cr and was deposited under the bombardment of 250 eV Ar+ at an ion-to-metal-atom ratio of 0.68. All of the coated samples showed better corrosion behavior than did the uncoated samples. Overall, the Nb-30% Cr coating appears to be the most corrosion resistant and behaves similarly to pure niobium.
