摘要
The weldability of zinc-coated steel sheets in a lap joint configuration without a joint clearance by pulsed Nd:YAG laser beam welding was examined. Focus was on the effects of the main processing parameters on weld quality. It was experimentally found that average peak power density (APPD) is the most critical factor in governing pulsed laser beam welding. Insufficient APPD had a high tendency to cause incomplete penetration.
