摘要

Sellar and suprasellar masses are related to many factors. The authors report on a 10.3-year-old female patient who presented with growth retardation. Initial normal results of a hormone study and rapid progression of hypothyroidismrelated pituitary hyperplasia within a 4-week interval were noted. The mass disappeared after thyroxine treatment. The authors conclude that repeated hormone examinations and avoidance of an unnecessary operation are needed in such patients.
