摘要
The high level of central nervous system plays an important role to modulate the balance stability, also, the neuromotor integrated the external interference and sensorimotor information to keep individual stability. For understanding the postural control within elderly adults, in this study, we provided continues and unexpected platform perturbation, which combined with the virtual reality and real-Time orientated inertia sensor, to investigate the postural sway and cortical response relationship between healthy elderly. Results showed that although postural sway and cortical activation were affected by the visual interference, significant contrary cortical modulations were found between the condition with and without the visual interference. The various modulations in central nervous system provide valid evidence that the cerebrum modulated the postural reactions timely based on the challenged of the external environment. The concepts of the neuromotor correlation may provide information for the design of human-machine interface, and the application of the useful interactive monitor device is also advised for detecting the risk of fall.
