摘要

Retrocaval ureter is uncommon in children. The authors report a 41-day- old boy with hydronephrosis and hydroureter on the right side detected by sonogram because of newborn screening. The results of intravenous urography and Tc-99m DTPA renal imaging suggested a retrocaval ureter (type I, long loop) on the right side, which was confirmed at surgery.
