摘要
We developed an intraoral swept source optical coherence tomography (SSOCT) and combined a simultaneous measurement of optical quantitative parameters (i.e., multiple scattering coefficient, μm, and scattering anisotropy factor, geff) for nondestructive assessment of dental hard tissues. Two-dimensional (2D) circumferential images were constructed by rotating the mini-probe (1.8 mm in diameter) while acquiring image lines, and the adjacent lines in each rotation could be stacked to generate a three-dimensional (3D) volume. In OCT images, areas of demineralization show statistically significant differences (p < 0.01) in optical parameters compared with the parameters from sound enamel.
