The discrete-time model of the small signal compensator of the buck converter

摘要

The converter is a power supply which controls the opening and closing time ratio of the switching tube in the use of modern power and electronic technology to maintain a stable output voltage. The converter generally consists of the composition of IC, MOSFET and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). With the development and innovation of power electronic technology, converter technology has been also constantly innovating. Currently, the converter, with miniaturization and high efficiency, has been widely applied to almost all electronic equipment and is indispensable in the rapid development of the electronic information industry nowadays. This study focuses on the differences between the discrete-time model of the converter working at a fixed frequency and the continue-time model. The buck converter in the discrete-time model is based on the continue-time model. The closed loop includes an A/D converter, a pulse width modulator and a compensator. The design methods of both models are different but the parameters of the components used in the design are the same. In the final simulation results, the accuracy of the two methods is confirmed.
