摘要

In this paper, a swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) system with a Fourier domain mode locking (FDML) laser is employed for Dermatology study. The FDML laser provides output power of >20mW, and an output spectrum of 65nm in bandwidth centered at 1310nm, enabling imaging with axial resolution of less than 12um.Compared with the conventional frequency-swept light source, the FDML laser can achieve an ultrahigh scan rate as high as 240 kHz. The proposed ultrahigh-speed SS-OCT system provides three dimensional (3D) images with reduced motion artifacts. In addition, the en-face images can be extracted from 3D OCT dataset, facilitating the examination of the imaging specimen.
